Himalayan vs Peninsular Rivers
Himalayan rivers are perennial (fed by glaciers + rain), have long courses, form deltas, carry heavy silt. Peninsular rivers are mostly seasonal (rain-fed), shorter, older, flow through harder rock with less silt. Exception: Narmada and Tapti flow WEST through rift valleys.
